Power of Reggae

REGGAE -  style of music that originated in Jamaica, West Indies in the late 1960s. Reggae is based on Ska, an earlier form of Jamaican popular music, and employs a heavy four-beat rhythm driven by drums, bass guitar, electric guitar, and the “scraper,” a corrugated stick that is rubbed by a plain stick.
The Hon. Robert Nesta (Bob) Marley took Reggae music all over the world, spreading Peace, Love & brotherhood. I love rocking to the music and can get turnt up with some dance moves upon occasion.  But, did you know that Reggae music calms your mind and body? According to Frank Lipman, M.D., "Reggae works best for calming you down because it contains about 60 beats per minute - which mimics the same speed as a slow beating heart".  He suggests chilling out with some Bob Marley music and you will see it has a very relaxing effect.
Bob Marley's "Buffalo Soldier" calms this little youth!
"If you know your history.
Then you would know where you're coming from
Then you wouldn't have to ask me
Who the heck do I think I am.
I'm just a buffalo soldier in the heart of America" - Sung by Bob Marley
